About the Role

As a Trainee Early Childhood Educator, you’ll work alongside experienced educators in our rooms while completing your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care through a fully subsidised NSW Government traineeship. This is a fantastic entry point into the childcare sector — no prior experience or qualifications required, just a genuine love for working with children and a willingness to learn.

You’ll gain hands-on experience caring for children from birth to school age, while your formal training is delivered by a registered training organisation (RTO), blending on-the-job learning with structured study.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate learning experiences and activities under the guidance of qualified educators
  • Assist with the daily care needs of children, including feeding, nappy changing, rest routines, and hygiene practices
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment in line with the National Quality Framework
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Observe and record children’s development and progress as part of learning documentation
  • Actively participate in all required training, workshops, and assessments toward your Certificate III
  • Follow all workplace health and safety, child protection, and centre policies and procedures
  • Contribute positively as part of a collaborative team
