Wiggles & Giggles is a family-operated, 29-place long day care centre that has proudly supported children and families in the local community for the past 14 years.
Our service is rated Exceeding under the National Quality Standard, and we are known for our nurturing relationships, supportive team culture and strong connection with families.
One of the highlights of our centre is our massive natural outdoor playground, which provides children with rich opportunities for exploration, creativity, physical development and nature-based learning.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced educator who is confident working with preschool-aged children and can contribute positively to our educational program, team culture and children’s learning outcomes.
The successful candidate will be involved in planning and implementing engaging learning experiences, supporting children’s social and emotional development, and working collaboratively with families and educators.
Key Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will:

Plan, implement and evaluate high-quality learning experiences for preschool children

Support children’s development through play-based, intentional and meaningful learning

Contribute to documentation, observations and programming using OWNA
-
Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
-
Support children with additional needs or behaviourally challenging behaviours in a calm, professional and inclusive manner

Maintain a safe, clean and engaging learning environment

Work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team

Follow service policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant must have:
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience working with preschool-aged children
-
Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS and NQF
-
Hands-on experience supporting children with behaviourally challenging needs
-
Good written and verbal communication skills
-
Strong documentation and writing skills
-
Ability to work well as part of a team
-
Flexibility to work any shift between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm

Good computer and digital skills, including:
OWNA,Canva,Microsoft Office.

Driver’s license preferred, but not mandatory
Required Certifications
Applicants must hold, or be willing to maintain, all relevant early childhood education and care certifications, including:

Valid Working with Children Check

Current First Aid Certificate
-
Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
-
Child protection / child safety training
-
Food handling certificate
-
Any other relevant industry-required certifications
