And now, as Vorwerk Australia continues its ambitious growth journey, we are seeking a strong leader as Head of Information Technology (IT), to join our local Senior Leadership Team and drive our technology, digital transformation and innovation agenda across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with regional and global IT leaders, this is a pivotal leadership role that will shape the future of technology within our business.

As Head of IT, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of technology, information security, digital transformation and IT service delivery. You will lead a team of IT professionals to ensure technology investments deliver measurable commercial outcomes, helping our business to evolve.

This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, requiring a leader who can align technology with business priorities, champion innovation, manage complex technology ecosystems and foster a high-performing team culture.

About the role

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

Strategic Leadership & Transformation

• Develop and execute the ICT transformation roadmap aligned to business strategy
• Lead digital transformation initiatives and drive innovation across the organisation
• Champion the responsible adoption and governance of AI technologies
• Partner with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into technology solutions
• Drive organisational change, adoption and continuous improvement initiatives

Technology & Cyber Security Leadership

• Oversee enterprise technology infrastructure, applications and service delivery
• Ensure information security, cyber security and regulatory compliance
• Act as the country’s Information Security Officer (ISO)
• Lead disaster recovery, business continuity and risk management programs
• Monitor service performance and ensure delivery against agreed service levels

Leadership & People Development

• Inspire and develop the IT team
• Build capability through coaching, succession planning and development initiatives
• Foster a collaborative culture focused on trust, accountability and innovation

Financial & Vendor Management

• Manage ICT operating and capital expenditure budgets
• Deliver technology investments that maximise business value
• Manage strategic vendor and partner relationships
• Provide financial forecasting, reporting and governance for ICT investments

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
• 10+ years’ experience leading IT teams and technology functions
• Proven experience delivering complex technology and digital transformation programs
• Strong expertise across enterprise solutions including ERP, CRM, eCommerce, Data Analytics and Warehouse Management Systems
• Experience working within matrix organisations and global technology environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability at executive level
• Demonstrated experience in information security and cyber risk management
• Outstanding leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills
• The ability to lead through change while maintaining strong operational performance
