A1 Roadlines is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and help shape the next chapter of our growth.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead all aspects of production, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You will be responsible for coordinating workshop operations across fabrication, assembly, electrical and final fit-out while maintaining delivery schedules, driving improvements and supporting a high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day workshop and production operations
  • Ensure production schedules and project deadlines are achieved
  • Drive quality, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate workflow across fabrication, electrical and assembly teams
  • Monitor labour utilisation, production efficiency and productivity
  • Manage inventory, material requirements and production resources
  • Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety
  • Provide leadership, coaching and accountability to workshop teams
  • Partner with purchasing, sales and logistics to ensure project success
  • Support business growth through operational excellence and process improvement

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a Production Manager, Workshop Manager or similar leadership role
  • Experience within manufacturing, automotive, transport, heavy industry or fabrication environments
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Excellent planning, scheduling and organisational capabilities
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach
  • Sound understanding of quality, compliance and safety requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
