The Opportunity
As an Auto Electrician, you’ll play a ket role in bringing our emergency vehicles to life.
Working alongside experienced tradespeople, engineers and production teams, you’ll complete electrical installations, diagnostics, programming and testing across a range of specialist vehicle builds.
No two projects are the same, providing plenty of variety and opportunities to expand your skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing and terminating wiring harnesses and electrical systems
- Completing electrical fit-outs on emergency service vehicles
- Diagnosing and fault-finding electrical issues
- Programming and commissioning vehicle systems
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Testing and verifying vehicle electrical operations
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining SEM’s quality and safety standards throughout the build process
About You
You’ll be someone who takes pride in your workmanship and enjoys solving problems.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- A trade qualification as an Auto Electrician
- Experience in automotive electrical systems and diagnostics
- Strong fault-finding capabilities
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- A commitment to quality and safety
- A positive attitude and team-first approach
- Excellent attention to detail
Experience within a heavy vehicles, emergency vehicles, manufacturing or specialised vehicle builds will be highly regarded, but isn’t essential.
