We’re looking for an experienced Defects/ Finishes Coordinator with a strong carpentry background who takes pride in fixing things properly – not patching and walking away.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Aftercare Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing and closing out defects across our Class 2 residential projects, including PSI inspections, 90‑day defects, DLP, undertakings, and BWRO items.
This is a hands‑on, site‑based role where your construction knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to deal confidently with clients and trades will be valued.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Coordinate and close out defect rectification works across multiple projects
- Manage subcontractors and hold them accountable to quality and timeframes
- Get hands‑on with defect repairs where required
- Maintain accurate defect records in Procore and DLP Manager
- Liaise with residents, strata managers, and internal project teams
- Coordinate access to occupied buildings and attend strata meetings when needed
- Identify and escalate quality, financial, or reputational risks
- Support continuous improvement through lessons‑learnt reviews
About You:
- At least 3–5 years’ experience in defects, aftercare, QA, maintenance, or finishes roles
- Strong carpentry background with solid knowledge of Australian Standards and tolerances
- Finishes foreman experience highly regarded
- Organised, detail‑focused, and solutions‑driven
- Confident communicator with a customer‑focused mindset
- Proficient in Procore and MS Office
- NSW Driver’s Licence
