This is a newly created role, reflecting Truescape’s continued investment in expanding our video production capability and the way we use emerging technologies to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.
We’re looking for a Senior Content Producer & Video Editor to join our Christchurch production team. You’ll combine 3D animation, stock footage, AI-generated content, motion graphics, voiceover, music and sound to create polished videos that help our clients communicate complex projects with clarity and confidence.
About the Role
This is a hands-on production role where you’ll work across the full video production process, from contributing to scripts and storyboards through to editing and delivering high-quality video content.
Beyond producing exceptional video content, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of our production workflows, embrace emerging technologies, and help shape the future of video production at Truescape.
You will:
- Contribute research, editorial input and production expertise to the development of scripts, AV scripts, storyboards and animatics.
- Edit 3D animation, stock footage, AI-generated video, voiceover, music, sound and graphics into polished video productions.
- Source and evaluate stock footage while recommending practical alternatives where required.
- Create titles, transitions, compositing and motion graphics using Adobe After Effects.
- Support the development and application of AI-assisted video production workflows that improve efficiency and creative capability.
- Use generative AI tools responsibly to create, refine and enhance video content.
- Review work throughout production to ensure technical accuracy, visual consistency and high production standards.
- Maintain organised project files, licensing records and version control across multiple concurrent productions.
- Create promotional videos, showreels, case studies and social media content as required.
About You
You’re a confident video storyteller who combines creativity with strong technical production skills. You enjoy turning complex or technical subject matter into engaging visual content and take pride in producing work that is accurate, polished and fit for purpose.
You work well with technical subject-matter experts, communicate effectively with stakeholders and enjoy collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team. You’re highly organised, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
You’re also curious about emerging technologies and embrace the responsible use of AI tools to improve production workflows, efficiency and creative outcomes.
You’ll bring:
- At least five years’ professional experience in video production, video editing and content production or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience writing scripts and structuring stories for a range of audiences.
- Strong visual storytelling skills, including experience developing storyboards and animatics.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent professional editing software.
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, including motion graphics, compositing and animation.
- Experience sourcing and editing stock or archive footage, with an understanding of licensing and copyright requirements.
- Good understanding of 3D animation production workflows.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- A relevant qualification in Media, Film, Video Production, Animation, Graphic Design or a related discipline would be an advantage.
