We offer our talented Orchard Maintenance & Spraying Specialists between $28 and $32 per hour depending on experience, along with minimum 30 hours work per week, health insurance, life insurance, and a fantastic team culture.

As an Orchard Maintenance Specialist, you will be an integral senior member of the Athenree orchard team, responsible for ensuring the maintenance and safe operation of all on-orchard machinery and related activities.

Your key tasks will be: –

  • Operation and maintenance of all on orchard machinery
  • Maintenance of all on orchard structures
  • Operation and maintenance of orchard vehicles
  • Operation, and maintenance of crop spray applicator
  • Ensuring the safe use of orchard machinery, vehicles, structures, and crop spray applicators throughout the orchard
  • Any other duty that is reasonably expected in the production of kiwifruit crop and the maintenance of orchards.

To be successful in the role you will need: –

  • Forklift license
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and unsociable hours if the weather conditions require.
  • At least two years horticulture maintenance experience
  • Growsafe certification preferred
