Description

At Trilogy Care, we’re not polishing an old model. We’re rebuilding aged care from the ground up with AI, automation, and cloud-native tech. As an industry first-mover in practical AI, we’ve put autonomy, experimentation, and pace at the centre of our tech team. From development to front-line care, everyone has generative AI at their fingertips.

You’ll join a fast-growing product design and engineering function in Brisbane, working with engineers, data specialists, and care coordinators. At this level, you won’t just deliver great work. You’ll lead complex initiatives, shape product direction, and lift the whole team through standards, coaching, and influence.

The role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead design on complex, cross-cutting initiatives. The work spans the Trilogy Care Portal, our flagship internal care coordination and billing platform, and our consumer experiences, including an ecommerce marketplace and React Native mobile apps.

You’ll operate with high autonomy, define problems as well as solutions, and partner with leadership on product strategy and roadmap. Success is measured by the team’s output, not just your own.

This is a full-time hybrid role: three days in our Bowen Hills office, two from home.

What you’ll do

Lead the work

  • Lead complex, ambiguous initiatives that span teams and domains, from discovery through to production
  • Define the problem as well as the solution: shape what we build, not just how it looks
  • Make clear trade-offs between user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
  • Represent design in prioritisation, planning, and roadmap conversations with leadership

Design at the level of systems

  • Set the craft bar: your work becomes the reference for others
  • Design patterns, not just screens, and evolve the design system as you go
  • Spot systemic issues and fix them at the root, so the same problem doesn’t come back

Close the design-to-code gap

  • Ship code directly for appropriate work using AI-assisted tools like Claude Code
  • Review on working code, not just static mockups, and catch issues where they matter

Multiply the team

  • Coach and grow other designers through critique, pairing, and mentorship
  • Lead design critiques and raise the quality of feedback
  • Shape how design operates: process, standards, and tooling
  • Step up to lead the design function when needed

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years in product design, with clear senior-level impact
  • A portfolio that shows leadership on complex, ambiguous work: how you framed the problem, influenced direction, and made the team better, not just the final screens
  • Strong craft across usability, interaction, and visual design, plus systems thinking that turns one-off fixes into reusable patterns
  • Experience with complex B2B or internal platforms, with consumer or ecommerce experience a real bonus
  • Hands-on fluency with modern tools (Figma, Storybook, Claude, v0, Vercel) and experience shipping code, or a strong drive to learn AI-assisted implementation
  • A track record of lifting a team through coaching, standards, or process
  • Confident communication with executives, PMs, engineers, SMEs, and users, in groups and 1:1
  • Comfort with uncertainty, and the ability to lead others through it
  • Commercial awareness: you know when to push on craft and when to move fast
  • A real commitment to designing products that improve people’s lives

Why Trilogy Care

  • Lead meaningful work that helps older Australians live at home for longer, better, and in more comfort
  • Shape how a growing design team operates, not just what it makes
  • Work where design meets code, with AI-assisted workflows as standard
  • Partner directly with leadership on product strategy
  • Regular practice development, ceremonies, and a vibrant cross-team social culture

Benefits

  • Hybrid working: three days in office, two from home after your first onboarding month
  • Expansive King Street office in Bowen Hills, close to transport, cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets
  • Latest Macs and tooling as standard
  • Fitness Passport for health and wellbeing
  • EAP support for you and your immediate family
  • Employee discounts on groceries, fuel, utilities, wellness, and more

How to apply

If you’re ready to lead complex work, lift a team, and shape the future of aged care, we’d love to hear from you. We’re not saying we do product perfectly yet, but Trilogy is a damn good place to get there.

Please include a portfolio (website or PDF) or a Loom walking through a project or two. Show us how you approached an ambiguous problem, influenced direction, and made the people around you better.

Please note: applicants must have full Australian work rights. A police check and professional references are required during onboarding.
