UX/UI Designer (Voluntary Internship) – Remote

About the Role

We are looking for a UX/UI Design Intern who is passionate about creating intuitive and engaging digital experiences. This internship provides hands-on experience working alongside product managers, developers, and experienced professionals. Figma proficiency is mandatory. This is a volunteer internship and does not provide an allowance, salary, stipend, or other monetary compensation. This opportunity is ideal for students, fresh graduates, career shifters, or aspiring UX/UI professionals seeking practical industry experience, mentorship, and portfolio development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with user research and gathering user insights.
• Support creation of personas, user flows, and journey maps.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
• Refine designs based on feedback and usability testing.
• Help maintain design consistency and design systems.
• Apply usability and accessibility best practices.
• Participate in design reviews and team discussions.
• Stay updated on UX/UI trends and best practices.
• Support developers during implementation of approved designs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, Computer Science, Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Figma is mandatory.
• Completion of relevant UX/UI courses, certifications, bootcamps, or training programs.
• Portfolio showcasing UX/UI projects, academic work, personal projects, or case studies.
• Understanding of user-centered design, wireframing, prototyping, and usability principles.
• Strong visual design skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to participate in a volunteer (unpaid) internship arrangement.
