We’re looking for a highly organised and capable People & Culture Operations Advisor to help deliver exceptional people operations that support our employees, leaders and volunteers to do their best work.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced HR Coordinator or HR Advisor who enjoys variety, systems, data, continuous improvement and being at the centre of people operations.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you’ll be responsible for the smooth administration and continuous improvement of our people processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
You’ll take ownership of key operational activities including:
- HRIS administration and optimisation (Employment Hero)
- Payroll support and payroll data management
- Employee lifecycle administration
- Recruitment coordination and onboarding
- Learning and development administration
- Workforce reporting and people analytics
- Compliance monitoring and workforce record management
This role is hands-on and operational, with plenty of opportunity to improve systems, streamline processes and provide meaningful workforce insights that support organisational decision-making.
What You’ll Be Doing
HR Systems & People Operations
- Maintain and optimise our HRIS (Employment Hero)
- Ensure employee data accuracy, integrity and security
- Manage system workflows, user access and organisational structures
- Support managers and employees in using HR systems effectively
- Drive efficient people processes through smart use of HR technology
- Monitor key people activities including performance reviews, probation reviews, compliance training and workforce compliance requirements
Payroll Support
- Act as the key People & Culture contact for payroll activities
- Manage employee data updates and payroll-related changes
- Coordinate new starters, terminations, leave and salary changes
- Support payroll audits, reconciliations and compliance requirements
- Partner closely with Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and timely processing
Workforce Reporting & Analytics
- Produce workforce metrics, reports and dashboards
- Analyse workforce trends and provide practical insights
- Support management and Board reporting requirements
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities across the organisation
- Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
- Assist with candidate screening, interviews and reference checking
- Prepare employment offers and contracts
- Coordinate onboarding and induction activities
Learning & Development
- Maintain training records and compliance requirements
- Administer learning systems and programs
- Track and report on mandatory training completion
- Support leadership and capability development activities
About You
You are detail-oriented, organised and proactive. You enjoy building efficient systems and processes and take pride in delivering high-quality support across a broad range of HR activities.
You’ll bring:
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business, Psychology or a related discipline
- Approximately 3+ years’ experience in a HR Advisor, HR Coordinator or People & Culture role
- Strong HR systems experience, ideally including Employment Hero
- Experience supporting payroll processes and employee lifecycle administration
- Capability in workforce reporting, analytics and dashboard development
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
- A continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail
