Citadines Walker North Sydney is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with basic maintenance, trade assistant, facilities, or property services experience who is looking to further develop their skills in a supportive hotel environment.
Working alongside and being mentored by an experienced Maintenance Manager, you will gain valuable hands-on experience maintaining a premium hotel while developing practical skills that can support a long-term career in maintenance and facilities management.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day upkeep of the hotel, helping to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to maintenance requests throughout the hotel
- Assisting with preventative maintenance programs
- Completing minor repairs, painting, patching, and general handyman tasks
- Assisting with room inspections and property checks
- Supporting contractors and service providers when required
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Assisting with emergency maintenance situations when required
