About the role:
As a Technical Services Representative (Heavy Equipment Mechanic), you’ll play a crucial role in providing mechanical support in both our workshop and for field service – including repairs, servicing and maintenance of our hire fleet.
Our hire fleet is predominately piling equipment. Experience on piling equipment is highly desirable.
The position is responsible for:
- Field service, equipment servicing and maintenance
- Performing routine maintenance and repair of equipment, including on piling equipment, power packs, and other related machinery
- Assisting with yard operations, including product and equipment movement, loading, and unloading
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and make necessary repairs
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections, identify potential problems, and address them before they become major issues
- Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and other equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available

What you’ll need to succeed:
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification
- Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work overtime as required
- Ability to fault find and rectify hydraulic, mechanical and electrical issues
- A current driver’s license
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and team
- Previous experience working on related equipment is desirable
- Working rights in New Zealand
- Forklift license (or willing to obtain)
