About the role:

As Diesel Mechanic (Technical Services Representative), you’ll play a crucial role in providing mechanical support in both our workshop and for field service – including repairs, servicing and maintenance of our hire fleet.

Our hire fleet is predominately piling equipment. Experience on piling equipment is highly desirable.

The position is responsible for:

  • Field service, equipment servicing and maintenance
  • Performing routine maintenance and repair of equipment, including on piling equipment, power packs, and other related machinery
  • Assisting with yard operations, including product and equipment movement, loading, and unloading
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and make necessary repairs
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections, identify potential problems, and address them before they become major issues
  • Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and other equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work overtime as required
  • Ability to fault find and rectify hydraulic, mechanical and electrical issues
  • A current driver’s license
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers and team
  • Previous experience working on related equipment is desirable
  • Working rights in New Zealand
  • Forklift license (or willing to obtain)
