About the role:

We have exciting casual opportunities for Spa Therapists who are passionate about delivering quality treatments through a unique, nurturing, and holistic guest experience. This Position runs from

September through to May.

We offer spa and relaxation services exclusively to guests partaking in The Bay of Fires Walk based near Ansons Bay on the North East Coast of Tasmania. Here you will experience true communion with nature, combining simplicity and an off-grid lifestyle.

This is a hybrid position, with a shared focus between delivering spa services and supporting the Lodge Host with basic cleaning, baking, and food preparation. You will mostly work independently, making this role ideal for someone who is self-motivated, resilient, autonomous, and a good communicator.

You will spend 5 to 6 days out at a time, working a rotating roster of 6 days on / 8 days off and 5 days on / 9 days off.

What you will bring:

The ideal candidates for this role will meet these essential requirements:

  • 1+ years’ experience working in a massage therapist role.
  • Be flexible and adaptable with a high level of professionalism and well-presented.
  • Experienced with using online booking systems and schedules (Fresha System preferred)
  • Possess effective communication, rapport building skills and organisational skills.
  • Be self-motivated, reliable, autonomous, resilient and comfortable working alone.
  • Able to travel to and work in a remote location (Ansons Bay)
  • Inspired and excited by off-grid infrastructure and motivated to uphold and maintain the spa’s overall appearance.
  • Have a passion for outdoors, wellbeing, and wilderness experiences

For this role you are expected to hold, maintain & renew:

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Beauty or Massage (or equivalent)
  • Provide First Aid: HLTAID011 (must be current)
  • Provide CPR: HLTAID009 (must be current within 1 year)
  • SITXFSA005 certification (use hygienic practices for food safety) – this can be completed online and signed off on-site
