Description
Keep production moving and deliveries on time for a leading commercial water tank manufacturer. Varied, hands-on coordination role.
About Tank Vision
Tank Vision is a leading Sydney-based manufacturer of commercial and industrial water storage tanks. For over 10 years we’ve designed, built and installed tanks for the commercial, healthcare, industrial, transport and data centre sectors across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Most of our work comes from repeat clients, because we deliver.
Our team works by one shared purpose: “Working Together to Achieve a Common Goal.”
About the role
Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll be the central point of coordination between our factory, warehouse, procurement, project managers and transport providers. Your job is to make sure materials are where they need to be and every tank leaves the factory, and arrives on site, in full and on time.
No two days are the same. One minute you’re updating the production schedule, the next you’re booking an oversize load, chasing a galvaniser or confirming site access with a client.
What you’ll do
- Maintain the production schedule with the Production Manager, tracking each job through fabrication, galvanising and dispatch
- Arrange transport for supplier pickups, incoming materials and finished tanks, including oversize loads, permits and escorts
- Prepare delivery documentation for drivers and carry out pre-dispatch checks so every load leaves complete and protected
- Make sure transport meets Chain of Responsibility requirements, including load restraint and mass and dimension limits
- Confirm delivery windows, site access and inductions with clients, site contacts and our installation team
- Raise POs for galvanising, transport, consumables and stock items in SIMPRO, and follow up on progress and delivery dates
- Receipt inward goods, and resolve wrong, missing or damaged items with suppliers and carriers
- Coordinate freight forwarders and export paperwork for New Zealand and Pacific Islands shipments
- Allocate transport costs to the correct projects and provide transport pricing to the Sales team
- Prepare job packs for the fabrication team and issue a weekly delivery and dispatch schedule
About you
- Experience coordinating production, logistics, warehouse or purchasing in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Highly organised, with strong time management and the ability to handle changing priorities and urgent requests
- Strong computer skills, including Excel; experience with SIMPRO or a similar ERP system is desirable
- Able to read technical drawings
- Clear communicator who builds good working relationships with drivers, suppliers and internal teams
- Sharp attention to detail when checking orders, deliveries and paperwork
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, sheet metal or welding is advantageous
