Description

We are looking for a Brewer/Distiller to join our growing, dynamic and tight knit Production team in Hobart.

Sullivans Cove produces some of the most sought-after whisky in the world. Our processes and approach are time consuming, highly detailed and very particular. We are often asked what the secret ingredient of our success is, and without a doubt it is our people.

Sullivans Cove is entering an exciting growth phase which will see exciting roles (just like this one!) and team developments progressing to undertake our expanding operations and systems.

This is a rare and unique opportunity to meaningfully and practically contribute to our globally acclaimed company, while getting your hands dirty at the same time!

Our Production team mill and mash our grain, brew our wash (a big focus for this role!), distil our spirit, mature our whisky, fill and decant our barrels, prepare our whisky for bottling, and undertake sensory analysis throughout the whole production process. They are an integral part of who we are, and work collaboratively to meet the targets and KPI’s in our Production Key Result Areas.

This role will be based at our primary site in Cambridge, Tasmania.

Production staff report directly to our Production team Supervisors.

We take team culture seriously and we are fiercely protective of the environment that our people have shaped. For that reason, we are looking for the right person to join us and be a valuable contributor within our family. As such, the unique skills-sets and individual qualities will be of the highest importance to us. The role will include but is not limited to the following requirements and responsibilities:

Committing to the Sullivans Cove Safety Fundamentals and Critical Risks program, to ensure a safe workplace for all

Meet Production quality and efficiency standards and targets, safely, in a manner aligned with the Sullivans Cove Code of Conduct and core values

Follow all safety and operational procedures, and collaboratively contribute to the creation and reviewing of procedural documentation

Key Requirements:

Previous brewing experience

Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills

Proficient use of the Microsoft suite

C Class drivers’ licence
