Position Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Fresh Produce Business Development Manager (Domestic) is responsible for developing strategic commercial opportunities and customer relationships across Australia’s fresh produce sector.
This role focuses on customer retention and growth, market development, industry engagement and developing commercially viable phytosanitary treatment and supply chain solutions.
Working closely with operations, quality, technical and executive teams, you will identify growth opportunities, develop strategic customer partnerships and deliver innovative commercial solutions that support Steritech’s continued expansion across the Australian market.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop strategic relationships with growers, packhouses, wholesalers, retailers and key industry stakeholders
- Grow existing customer accounts while identifying new commercial opportunities
- Lead customer negotiations, proposals and strategic account planning
- Identify emerging market opportunities and changing industry requirements
- Partner with operational and technical teams to deliver commercially viable customer solutions
- Represent Steritech across industry forums, customer meetings and market development activities
- Monitor domestic production cycles, customer demand and market trends
- Contribute to revenue growth, strategic planning and commercial performance
Key Requirements
About You
You are a commercially focused business development professional with strong networks across Australia’s fresh produce industry.
You enjoy building trusted customer relationships, identifying commercial opportunities and working collaboratively across operational and technical teams to deliver practical business outcomes.
You bring:
- Extensive business development or strategic account management experience
- Strong knowledge of Australia’s fresh produce industry and supply chains
- Proven ability to build senior customer relationships
- Commercial negotiation and business development capability
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strategic thinking supported by practical execution
- Ability to identify market opportunities and deliver commercial growth
Experience with biosecurity, phytosanitary treatment, regulated food supply chains or agribusiness will be highly regarded.
