Summary:
The Swimming Instructor will be responsible for providing swimming lessons and ensuring the safety and well-being of participants. This role requires excellent communication skills, an understanding of swimming techniques, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to various age groups and skill levels.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct swimming lessons for individuals or groups, focusing on water safety, and overall swimming skills.
- Teach to the Aquabliss lesson plans tailored to the needs and abilities of participants.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment by enforcing pool rules and maintaining constant supervision during lessons.
- Evaluate participants’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their swimming abilities.
- Communicate effectively with participants, colleagues and to the Pool Deck Supervisor to address any concerns or provide updates on progress.
- Stay updated on the latest swimming techniques, safety protocols, and industry trends through continuous professional development.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Swimming Instructor preferred but not essential. We are willing to train you and help you become a qualified instructor!
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with participants of all ages and skill levels.
- Current CPR certification or willing to obtain.
- WWCC (paid) if 18 years or older.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching swimming to promote a positive learning environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
