Disability Support Worker

Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated young female Disability Support Worker (as requested by the client) to provide community access and capacity building support for a lovely young lady in Dandenong, Victoria. This casual role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by promoting independence and facilitating social inclusion. The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, and able to engage effectively with clients while maintaining professional boundaries.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized support to a young lady with disabilities, focusing on community access and capacity building.
• Organize regular activities that promote social inclusion and independence.
• Research and plan outings that align with the client’s interests and needs.
• Maintain professional boundaries while fostering a supportive environment.
• Monitor the client’s health condition, particularly related to epilepsy or seizures, ensuring safety during activities.

Qualifications:

• NDIS screening check
• Completion of NDIS orientation module
• Current CPR & First Aid certification
• Valid driver’s license with insurance
• Experience working with individuals who have epilepsy or seizures is preferred
