About the position

This is a unique opportunity to be a part of The SEBEL kitchens’ team, inspiring excellence and creativity. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in preparing breakfast, lunch and/or dinner items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure that all ingredients are properly measured, portioned, and stored.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations at all times.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations while handling ingredients, cooking utensils, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff members to ensure timely delivery of meals.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food supplies.
  • Follow instructions from senior chefs or management regarding menu changes or special requests.

About you

  • Relevant qualification in Commercial cooking is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of different cooking techniques and culinary principles.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient meal preparation.
  • Understanding of food safety procedures.
  • Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members.
