As our business continues to grow, we’re seeking an experienced Accountant to support the financial operations of our Australian and New Zealand businesses.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a broad role covering financial administration, project accounting support, payroll support and business operations. Working closely with project managers, business leaders and external advisors, you’ll help ensure accurate financial information, effective systems and strong financial controls.

About the Role
You’ll support the day-to-day financial management and administration of the business across Australia and New Zealand.
Key responsibilities include:
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Supplier invoice processing and payment runs
- Expense claims and corporate credit card reconciliation
- Client invoicing, debtor management and collections
- Job and project administration
Financial Operations
- Bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations
- Month-end support and financial record maintenance
- Compliance, reporting and audit support
- Payroll administration and backup processing support
Business Support & Improvement
- Project financial reporting support
- Systems administration across Xero, WorkflowMax and Employment Hero
- Process improvement, automation and reporting initiatives
Systems & Technology
You’ll work across:
- Xero
- WorkflowMax
- Employment Hero
- Microsoft 365 (particularly Excel)
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with systems and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
About You
Essential
- Accounting, bookkeeping or finance qualification
- Experience in a similar Accountant, Assistant Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper role
- Strong AP, AR and reconciliation experience
- Xero experience
- Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
- WorkflowMax experience
- Employment Hero Payroll experience
- Australian and New Zealand entity experience
- Consulting, professional services or project-based environment experience
- Knowledge of project accounting, timesheets and job costing
