Position Summary
The Warehouse and Delivery Assistant is a versatile and essential member of the Shed Bonanza
team, involved in both operational and logistical functions. This role includes the manufacturing
of steel parts, managing inventory, maintaining company premises, and conducting deliveries
across Victoria. As part of a small team, the assistant works closely with the Warehouse
Manager to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
● Delivery and Driving Operations:
○ Drive a utility vehicle (ute) with a trailer to deliver parts across Victoria, making
up approximately 50% of the role.
○ Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation to ensure all deliveries are
accounted for and on schedule.
● Manufacturing and Equipment Operation:
○ Use machines to manufacture steel parts, adhering to safety standards and
quality specifications.
○ Operate power tools and handle sheet metal, contributing to various
manufacturing tasks as needed.
● Warehouse Operations:
○ Pick and pack orders with precision, preparing them for delivery or customer
pick-up.
○ Receipt incoming goods, ensuring their condition and quantities match order
specifications.
○ Perform regular stock audits and counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
● Site Maintenance and Upkeep:
○ Clean the yard and maintain display areas, ensuring a neat and professional
environment for customers and staff.
○ Perform general maintenance tasks, manual handling, and upkeep duties to
support the operational efficiency of the warehouse.
Preferred Education and Qualification
● High school diploma or equivalent.
● Valid driver’s license with experience driving a ute and a trailer.
● Forklift license is required, contributing significantly to warehouse operations.
● Experience with manual handling and using power tools, especially related to
metalwork.
● Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of working effectively in a small
team.
