Casual Personal Care Assistant (PCA) | Toorak, VIC

About the Role

Sensible Care is looking for a caring, reliable, and experienced Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support a client in Toorak, Victoria.

This role involves providing personalised personal care, mobility assistance, companionship, and light Domestic Assistance (DA) in the client’s home. We are looking for someone who respects the client’s preferences, promotes independence, and provides safe, compassionate support.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist with personal care, including showering, grooming, dressing, and other daily hygiene needs.
• Support safe mobility and transfers using appropriate mobility aids.
• Assist with simple daily routines and meal-related needs.
• Provide companionship and encourage independence.
• Perform light domestic duties, including general tidying, cleaning, and maintaining a safe, uncluttered home environment.
• Follow the client’s care plan and individual support requirements.
• Report falls, incidents, or changes in the client’s condition promptly and in line with reporting procedures.
• Complete required documentation and follow health, safety, and infection-control procedures.

About You

• Previous experience in personal care, aged care, disability support, or community care.
• Relevant Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience providing personal care and light domestic support in clients’ homes.
• Caring, patient, reliable, and respectful of client preferences.
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following care plans and instructions.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.
• Current Police Check and Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to meet the required certification requirements.
