Greek-Speaking Personal Care Assistant (PCA) – Glen Waverley

About the Role

Sensible Care is seeking a Greek-speaking Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Care Worker to provide personalised in-home care and support to a client in Glen Waverley.

Greek language skills are essential for this position. The successful candidate will be able to communicate comfortably in Greek with the client and provide support in a respectful, familiar, and culturally appropriate manner.

You will also need to have good English communication skills to communicate with the client, family members, and the Sensible Care team and to complete required care documentation.

This is a casual role offering weekday shifts, with morning availability preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities
• Communicate with and support the client in Greek
• Assist the client with their individual care needs and daily routine
• Prepare meals and assist with household tasks as required
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Build a positive and respectful relationship with the client
• Follow the client’s care plan and support requirements
• Monitor and report any changes in the client’s needs or wellbeing
• Maintain accurate care records
• Communicate with family members and the Sensible Care team as required
• Follow all relevant health, safety, and infection-control requirements

About You

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Greek-speaking PCA/Care Worker who:

• Speaks Greek fluently or is highly proficient in Greek
• Has good English communication skills
• Has previous experience providing personal care / PCA support — preferred
• Holds a Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Aged Care, or a related qualification, or has a nursing background
• Is compassionate, patient, respectful, and reliable
• Has good interpersonal and communication skills
• Is comfortable providing personal care in a client’s home
• Has availability on weekdays between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, with morning availability preferred
• Holds a current Australian driver’s licence
• Has comprehensive car insurance and access to a reliable vehicle
