Overview
An Excavator Operator is tasked with handling heavy machinery to undertake excavation activities associated with construction, maintenance, repair projects, specifically designed for water infrastructure projects. This position requires precise digging, trenching, and site preparation while upholding safety standards and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Machine Operations: Operate excavators and related equipment safely and efficiently for various excavation tasks.
• Trenching: Execute accurate trenching for installations and repairs, including work around live assets and infrastructure.
• Site Preparation: Clear debris, prepare sites, and ensure stable ground conditions for construction activities with attention to detail.
• Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain excavation machinery to ensure consistent reliability and functionality.
• Safety: Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols to safeguard personal, team, and worksite welfare.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and environmental guidelines.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with teams to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience operating excavators
• Current excavator operating accreditation and demonstrated experience
• Construction White Card: essential
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol testing
• Additional civil operating tickets (e.g. skid steer, roller)
Work Environment
Positions available in both Metro Perth and the Southwest – apply for your preferred location.
