Electrical Design Draftsperson

Increased Contract activity within the Defence Maritime sector means we need an experienced Electrical Design Draftsperson to support our key Client Projects.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to apply for an NV1 Security Clearance.
Reporting to our Senior Electrical Engineer, your focus will be to deliver Electrical Design Drawings for Concept, Principle and Detailed Design activities in accordance with client specifications and relevant Australian Standards.
Being a multidisciplinary team, you will also collaborate closely with the mechanical and naval architectural disciplines to deliver design drawings such as illustrations and diagrams for engineering documentation, such as reports and specifications.
About you – you will need to have:
- Proven electrical Design Drafting experience (5+ years preferred)
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with 2D and 3D based Drafting software (AutoCAD or similar)
- Demonstrated knowledge of how to apply relevant standards and regulations to electrical Drafting Designs
- Ability to communicate technical concepts with clarity
- Ability to naturally collaborate with others
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Curiosity to learn new concepts
- Self-driven and self starter
Highly Desirable
- Defence or Commercial Maritime sector experience

Travel for ship inspections will become part of the role as the opportunity presents.
