Key Responsibilities:
- Lead resource estimation projects, ensuring compliance with JORC, NI 43-101, and other international reporting codes.
- Apply advanced understanding of QA/QC and sampling theory to audit and interrogate client data, ensuring data quality standards.
- Engage directly with clients to deliver expert technical advice, feedback, and high-quality technical reports.
- Proactively contribute to RSC’s reputation for excellence through mentorship, leadership, and technical delivery.
- Lead multidisciplinary projects at a variety of scales.
- Facilitate online and in-person training for RSC’s clients.
- Actively participate in business diversification, growth, and development activities, identifying opportunities to support RSC’s clients.
Required Expertise:
- Minimum 8-15 years industry experience, with a proven track record in resource estimation.
- Degree or additional studies in geostatistics highly regarded.
- Advanced understanding of resource estimation theory and techniques, linear and non-linear.
- Advanced QA/QC knowledge and practical field experience in drilling and sampling.
- Proficiency in Datamine or Isatis, and Leapfrog, is required; experience with Vulcan, Surpac, or other packages is helpful.
- Exceptional written communication, including high-calibre technical report writing skills. We do not compromise on this.
- Excellent English oral communication skills, with an innate and confident ability to clearly and accurately articulate technical and project information with clients and project teams.
- Multi-commodity and mineral system experience.
- Ability to meet targets and work to client’s deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and membership in recognised professional bodies (AusIMM, AIG, or equivalent).
- Leadership and management qualities that promote an engaged and motivated team of direct reports and project team members.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
