About the role

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Casual Manufacturing Assistant to join our well-established and diverse Manufacturing Team at our Scoresby facility.

Reporting to the Lead Manufacturing, you will assist with daily manufacturing activities, including roasting, packing quality products and preparing materials for storage and dispatch.

You will help the team meet production targets while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with daily manufacturing activities
  • Operate and support roasting and packing equipment
  • Help achieve daily production and throughput targets
  • Follow food safety, quality and GMP procedures
  • Complete production records and basic data entry
  • Identify and report production or quality issues
  • Maintain clean, safe and efficient work areas
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance, Warehouse and other teams
  • Prepare products and materials for storage and dispatch
  • Provide general support to the Manufacturing Team as required

About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in food production
  • Familiarity with roasting, packing or similar manufacturing equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and a process-focused approach
  • Basic data-entry and record-keeping skills
  • A reliable, hands-on attitude and strong work ethic
  • The ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role
  • Flexibility to work casual shifts based on manufacturing requirements
  • Previous leadership or team coordination experience will be highly regarded

Qualifications

  • A Certificate in Food Processing is preferred but not essential
  • Other relevant qualifications will be highly regarded
