Description

Remote Industries Australia is looking for a Parts Interpreter & Workshop Administrator to join our team in Tennant Creek.

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting our workshop, fleet and operations across civil, construction and remote projects. You’ll be responsible for helping keep our vehicles, trucks, plant and machinery maintained, organised and ready for work.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and sourcing parts, components and consumables for vehicles, trucks, plant and machinery
  • Using parts manuals, catalogues, VINs, serial numbers and equipment specifications to identify the correct parts
  • Coordinating and tracking servicing, maintenance and inspections
  • Maintaining accurate records for vehicles, plant, machinery, tools and equipment
  • Tracking equipment location, condition, movement and maintenance requirements
  • Maintaining parts and inventory records, including stocktakes
  • Following up overdue servicing and maintenance
  • Assisting with the coordination of equipment to and from remote project sites
  • Keeping workshop and asset records, databases and spreadsheets accurate and up to date.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is practical, organised and reliable, with a good understanding of vehicles, plant or machinery.

Previous experience in parts interpretation, workshop administration, asset management or equipment tracking would be highly regarded, particularly within construction, civil, transport or a similar industry.

You’ll need strong attention to detail, good computer skills, the ability to manage competing priorities and a current driver’s licence.
