Description

Field Service

  • Installation of Remax rapid roller door systems, sectional doors, and associated automation and control systems
  • Electrical commissioning of door automation systems including motor drives, control panels, safety edges, photocells, and access control integration
  • Fault diagnosis and repair of electrical and mechanical faults across commercial and industrial door systems
  • Planned preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of installed door systems
  • Breakdown response across commercial and industrial sites
  • Commissioning of new door systems and professional handover to clients
  • Travel within the region, with occasional overnight stays as required
  • Accurate completion of service records, job sheets, electrical compliance documentation, and test reports

Site Assessment

  • Support the project team with technical expertise and solution design
  • Conduct pre-site evaluations including taking measurements, photographs, and providing professional advice for installations and service work

Service Team Support

  • Assist in service ticket closure including reports, labour and parts entry, and invoicing
  • Estimate and quote remedial work for door installations, including follow-ups and sales order creation
  • Provide technical phone support to clients, technicians, and distributors

General

You will also pitch in with general operational and workshop tasks, support production when needed, and take pride in keeping your vehicle, tools, and workspace in top shape. Full compliance with company health and safety policies is expected at all times.

Required Skills:

  • We’re looking for a licenced electrician with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys getting out of the office and into the field. If you have experience with industrial automation, access systems, or door systems, we want to hear from you.
  • Electrical licence (A-Grade or equivalent state licence) ⚠ Mandatory
  • Hands-on experience with industrial automation, access systems, roller doors, or related electrical systems
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills, able to diagnose and resolve motor, control panel, sensor, and wiring faults on site
  • Solid mechanical aptitude, comfortable working across both electrical and mechanical aspects of door systems
  • A self-starter who can manage their own schedule, takes initiative, and gets the job done without needing to be micromanaged
  • Willing to travel as required and stay overnight where needed
  • Professional approach with customers and site contacts, clear communicator, reliable, and safety conscious
  • Current driver’s licence ⚠ Essential
  • White Card (or ability to obtain one prior to commencement) ⚠ Essential
