Description

About us

RHFA is a privately owned allied health practice with over 17 years of history in community rehabilitation across Sydney. We’re a close-knit, experienced team and we work with adults across NDIS, DVA, Lifetime Care Support, and Support at Home.

We’re not a big corporate.

You’ll know the people you work with, and the people who run the business are clinicians too. Peter and Julienne Locke co-direct the practice and both stay hands-on with the work.

The role

We’re looking for an experienced OT to join our adult community team. Day-to-day, this role focuses on:

  • Assistive technology assessment and prescription
  • Home modification recommendations and report writing
  • DVA-funded client management
  • NDIS community-based therapy and functional assessments
  • Working collaboratively within a small, MDT-style team

You’ll split your time between community work across Sydney metro area and either our North Strathfield and our Gledswood Hills clinic, depending on your caseload and location. We’re flexible on the mix and open to working with you on a schedule that actually suits your life.

What we offer

  • A genuinely experienced team – no revolving door of new grads, just solid clinicians who know their stuff
  • Leadership and operational involvement for the right person
  • Funding stream variety: DVA, NDIS, Lifetime Care, Support at Home
  • Flexibility on hours and work pattern – full-time or part-time considered
  • Competitive remuneration based on experience
  • Mentoring, peer support, and professional development
  • Laptop, tools of trade, and travel reimbursement

About you

  • You’ve got solid OT experience with adults in a community or rehabilitation setting.
  • You’re confident with AT prescription and home modification reports,
  • You’ll understand how DVA and NDIS funding works in practice, and you don’t need someone looking over your shoulder to get things done

And we are great at team training, professional development, career staging and growth and if you have exerience and an interest in the above then we have the right supports for you in order to learn and grow.

You will hold

  • Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • 3+ years’ experience, ideally in community or rehabilitation settings
  • Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
