Over the past 15 years, we have supported more than 20,000 community members across the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Gympie, and Cairns regions, delivering high-quality support across the Health, Community, and NDIS sectors. We are powered by a dedicated team with more than 800 years of combined lived and professional experience, ensuring culturally safe, person centered, knowledgeable, and effective care.
We are crafting a team of change-makers and we want you!
Are you an organising superstar who loves events, travel, socials and making things happen?
Do you love a good checklist? Get a little satisfaction from a perfectly organised itinerary? Enjoy pulling together an event and seeing all the moving pieces come together?
And maybe you also love socials, storytelling, Canva and keeping an eye on what’s trending online?
We’re looking for an Events, Travel & Marketing Coordinator to join REFOCUS.
This is a varied, hands-on coordination role where events and travel coordination are a big part of your world, alongside supporting our marketing, communications and community engagement activities.
You’ll work with Managers, Team Leaders and the broader REFOCUS team to help turn plans and ideas into action.
What you’ll get up to –
🎉 Events, events, events
You’ll help coordinate everything from conferences, workshops and training programs through to community events, networking functions and cultural celebrations.
You’ll be across the details, including:
- venues and catering
- accommodation and transport
- registrations and attendee communications
- suppliers and contractors
- event materials and promotional items
- schedules, timelines and run sheets
- keeping everything moving smoothly on the day
If you’re someone who likes seeing a plan come together, this is your space.

You’ll become one of our go-to people for coordinating travel for staff, guests, contractors and stakeholders.
From flights and accommodation to vehicle hire, transfers and travel itineraries, you’ll help make sure people know where they need to be and how they’re getting there.

- keeping an eye on social engagement and opportunities

You’ll also help us stay connected with the communities we work alongside.
That includes researching local opportunities, coordinating REFOCUS attendance at community events and expos, liaising with our offices about what’s happening locally, and building positive relationships with community stakeholders and service providers.
