Summary:

The Business Improvement Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing automated data solutions that enhance reporting accuracy, reduce manual effort, and support strategic decision-making. This role plays a key part in integrating diverse datasets into business intelligence platforms and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Responsibilities Include:

1. Data Automation & Integration

  • Develop and maintain automated data pipelines to streamline data processing.
  • Integrate operational datasets (e.g., labour, safety, production) into reporting systems and dashboards.
  • Support enterprise data lake initiatives by ensuring comprehensive and accurate dataset integration.

2. Performance Reporting

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards to support operational and strategic performance monitoring. Design, build, and maintain manual reports to support operational and strategic performance monitoring.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting tools.
  • Support ingestion and integration of third-party data sources into reporting workflows.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting scripts and processes for regular performance tracking.

3. Systems Implementation

  • Assist in the rollout of new systems through testing, validation, and change management activities.
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshooting to ensure successful system adoption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align system capabilities with business needs.

4. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement improvements in data reliability, reporting efficiency, and system performance. Contribute to the development of analytical tools and methodologies that enhance operational insights.
  • Work closely with the Business Improvement team to translate data insights into actionable site initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, data modelling, and other data visualization tools.
  • Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of mining and industrial operations data.
  • Proven experience in system implementation, testing, and change management.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
