Housekeeping Attendant

About the role  

Due to our continued growth we are expanding our Housekeeping Team at Quest Cannon Hill, adding more Room Attendants/Housekeeping professionals on a casual basis (30-35 hours per week). Permanent positions are available for the right candidates.

We take our room cleanliness seriously, but have fun while we’re doing it! Join our team and here’s what you’ll be doing on a day-to-day basis:

• Clean and prepare guest rooms and common areas to the highest standards, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces and kitchenettes
• Change bed linens, towels and other soft furnishings in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Report maintenance issues, damage or safety concerns to supervisors immediately
• Respond promptly to guest requests and special cleaning requirements
• Adhere to all health, safety and hygiene protocols, including the correct use of cleaning chemicals
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery safely
• Work collaboratively with housekeeping team members to meet daily cleaning schedules
• Ensure waste is disposed of appropriately and recycling protocols are followed
• Provide exceptional customer service by being courteous and professional when interacting with guests

What You Bring to the Role  

• A desire to clean – you love to make things shiny, sparkly and fresh, plus make a bed that will bounce a coin!
• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning or a similar hospitality role (preferred but not essential)
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude – honesty is essential
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleaning standards consistently
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently to meet daily schedules
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Commitment to health and safety standards and willingness to comply with all workplace policies
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Physical fitness, full mobility and able to lift 10-20kg
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays (as required). Penalty rates apply for hours worked on weekends and public holidays.

• HIGA Pay rates of $33-$47 per hour with approx. 30-35 hours per week of work on a rotating roster, in a friendly and fun team of like-minded people (including the bosses)
