Description

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team. The Clinical Nurse Manager provides clinical leadership across QARE Services’ participants in community and supported-living settings, delivering safe, clinically competent nursing care and overseeing support services in alignment with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework, each participant’s individual NDIS goals, and all other relevant compliance standards. The role holds clinical case management, keeps participant plans, clinical policies and procedures current, and trains and credentials the staff who deliver services — so that participant health and wellbeing are safeguarded and QARE Services’ obligations as a registered NDIS provider are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical assessments, manage patient cases, and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Provide clinical oversight, facilitate training, and manage staff credentialing.
  • Deliver direct nursing care focused on participant wellbeing and safety.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (unconditional)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (valid clearance)
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Programme — certificate of completion
  • Supporting People to Stay Infection Free module — certificate of completion
  • Right to work in Australia, with passport or equivalent proof of identity
  • Current Western Australian driver’s licence and use of a reliable vehicle
  • Two professional, industry-related reference checks
  • Immunisation records in line with current health and role requirements
  • Adherence to the NDIS Code of Conduct and all applicable worker obligations
  • Demonstrated experience working within the NDIS framework, including application of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and adherence to the NDIS Code of Conduct.

Experience & Skills

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and a minimum of twelve months’ paid experience in a similar nursing position. Paid experience in community, acute, children’s or aged care nursing is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of current nursing practice, procedures and evidence-based care.
  • Understanding of a range of medical conditions, diseases and treatments relevant to participants with complex support needs.
  • Experience assessing needs, writing and reviewing care plans, and maintaining clinical documentation.
  • Confident training, supervising and credentialing support staff.
  • Sound knowledge of medication management, including intravenous administration, and of high intensity supports.
  • Demonstrated experience in program planning, implementation and evaluation, and an understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision and staff development within a regulated healthcare environment, including mentoring and performance management.
  • Proficiency in utilising electronic health records (EHR) and clinical management software.
