Processing & Extraction Operator

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Location: Puro Cultivation & Processing Sites

Key Relationships: Post-Harvest, Cultivation and Quality Teams; external compliance advisors as required

Role Purpose

The Processing & Extraction Operator plays a critical role in delivering high-quality medicinal cannabis products through disciplined post-harvest and extraction operations.

This is a hands-on role responsible for solventless extraction, live drying, flower preparation, trimming, packaging, and site hygiene. The role also supports cultivation operations during peak periods, including harvest.

Accuracy, hygiene, consistency and compliance sit at the centre of this position. The successful candidate will contribute to efficient workflows, uphold pharmaceutical-grade standards, and support Puro’s commitment to quality, integrity, and responsible production.

Key Responsibilities

Post-Harvest & Extraction Operations

Operate solventless extraction systems in accordance with SOPs.

Conduct live drying and post-processing activities.

Participate in bucking, drying, trimming, grading, and packaging of flower products.

Ensure accurate recording of batch data and traceability documentation.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across processing areas.

Support workflow supervision and contribute to process optimisation.

Cultivation Support

Assist with outdoor hand-harvesting activities as required.

Support basic repair and maintenance of cultivation tools and machinery.

Provide operational support to cultivation teams during peak periods.

Training & Compliance

Strictly follow Puro’s SOPs, hygiene protocols, and gowning standards.

Engage in all required training programmes.

Immediately report any deviations from SOPs or quality standards.

Use appropriate PPE at all times.

Contribute to a culture of regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Health & Safety

Adhere to all site-specific Health & Safety requirements.

Actively participate in hazard identification and incident reporting.

Promote a safe working environment for all team members.

General Duties

Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and flexibility, including shift work (weekends and nights where required).

Prioritise tasks to meet operational deadlines safely and efficiently.

Maintain a positive team culture and represent Puro with integrity.

Undertake additional duties as required to meet business needs.

Experience & Skills

Preferred

Experience in production, factory, processing or cultivation environments.

Familiarity with machinery, instrumentation, or extraction systems.

Exposure to regulated or GMP-style environments.

Required

High standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
