Description

About Us

Powering Skills Organisation is a Jobs and Skills Council for the Energy, Gas and Renewables sector funded by the Australian Government and managed by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.

We are one of ten Jobs & Skills Councils established to address skills shortages and training structures. At Powering Skills Organisation our focus is across the energy sector, focusing on electricity, renewables and gas.

We are on a journey to enhance the energy sector’s skills and training landscape, creating lasting impact and meaningful change for the industry and the broader community.

About the role

We’re looking for a creative, practical thinker who can take complex information and turn it into clear, useful resources that help people put training products and workforce solutions into practice.

As Implementation Design and Delivery Lead, you’ll work across PSO to design and develop implementation guides, stakeholder packs, presentations, templates, visual aids and other practical resources that support the uptake and implementation of PSO’s work.

Reporting to the Director, Implementation Promotion and Monitoring, you’ll work closely with internal subject matter experts and stakeholders including RTOs, employers, government and industry to understand what they need and create fit-for-purpose solutions. You’ll also test and refine resources using stakeholder feedback, helping ensure our implementation approach continues to improve over time.

About You

  • You have experience in learning or instructional design, training resource development, VET, communications or a related field.
  • You’re great at taking complex technical, regulatory or product information and turning it into clear, practical and audience-friendly resources.
  • You’re comfortable starting with a blank page and designing tools, guides, templates or other resources that people can actually use.
  • You understand how to tailor information and resources for different audiences, from RTOs and employers through to government and industry stakeholders.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • You’re comfortable working across multiple projects, managing competing priorities and keeping work moving.
  • You can analyse information, feedback and changes to training products to understand what they mean in practice.
  • You enjoy working collaboratively with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to produce high-quality outcomes.
  • You bring a creative, solutions-focused mindset and are comfortable testing ideas, listening to feedback and continually improving what you develop.

Powering Skills Organisation is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to diversity and inclusion, people from different cultural backgrounds and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
