- Conduct compliance and audit reviews, providing clear, practical insights
- Translate technical findings into meaningful recommendations that clients can act on
- Collaborate with clients, internal developers, and project teams to deliver reliable, well‑designed solutions
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- 2+ years’ experience working with payroll systems, payroll operations, or payroll-related project work
- Exposure to data migration, system implementation, or configuration (highly advantageous)
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Excellent communication skills – able to translate technical detail into clear, practical advice for clients
- Solid understanding of NZ payroll legislation, including the Holidays Act (Australian payroll knowledge is a bonus)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
- A self-driven, inquisitive mindset with a genuine interest in learning, problem‑solving, and delivering great client outcomes
What’s on offer
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Diverse, impactful project work – from compliance reviews and audits to system implementations, data migrations, and remediation
- The opportunity to develop deep expertise in payroll consulting, supported by a highly experienced team
- A collaborative, people‑focused culture where your ideas are welcomed and your development is prioritised
- A comprehensive benefits package and flexible work environment
- Clear career pathways in a growing specialist practice
Whether you’re already building your consulting career or stepping into it for the first time, we’re keen to hear about the payroll projects you’ve been involved in.
