- Carry out routine operational checks and preventative maintenance across RF equipment, antennas, power, cooling and supporting infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating more complex incidents when needed.
- Coordinate on-site contractors and ensure work follows WHS requirements and site procedures.
- Support infrastructure upgrades, equipment installations and commissioning activities.
- Complete approved maintenance and changes, communicate planned outages and check systems following the work.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation and site security requirements.
- Provide on-site technical assistance for customers and vendors, including on-call and after-hours support.
What you’ll bring to this role
You’re a reliable, proactive problem solver who enjoys hands-on technical work and takes pride in keeping equipment and systems running well.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in telecommunications, satellite communications or critical infrastructure environments.
- An understanding of RF communications systems and experience maintaining technical equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Cat5/6 and fibre cabling.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Linux and ticketing systems.
- The ability to interpret technical documentation and maintain clear, accurate records.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and balance maintenance with urgent operational needs.
- A safety-first approach and the ability to work outdoors and at heights, where appropriately trained.
- A current driver licence and availability to participate in the on-call roster.
Why join Pivotel
