Pilbara Community Legal Service (PCLS) is seeking a compassionate and resilient Support Worker within our Redress team to support people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse through the National Redress Scheme.
This rewarding role provides practical, emotional and trauma-informed support, helping clients navigate the Redress application process with dignity, respect and care.

About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Provid trauma-informed case management and client support
- Assist clients to complete and lodge National Redress Scheme applications
- Maintain accurate client records and data
- Deliver outreach services across Newman and surrounding communities
- Build positive relationships with clients, community members and service providers
About You
You are someone who:
- Has experience working with vulnerable clients
- Demonstrates empathy, resilience and professionalism
- Can work independently and manage competing priorities
- Has strong communication, administration and computer skills
- Understands trauma-informed practice
- Demonstrates cultural sensitivity, particularly when working with Aboriginal people and communities
- Is willing to travel regularly to Newman and surrounding outreach locations
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Cert IV in Community Services
- Experience in community services, case management or a related field
- Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
- Australian working rights
- Able to travel to remote areas to deliver services to clients and the community.

This position is ideally based in Newman; however we welcome applications from candidates located across the Pilbara who are able to travel regularly with overnight stays.
