Senior Project Engineer-Electrical Commissioning x2

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer specialising in Electrical Commissioning to join our team in Watsonia, Victoria. This contract role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of electrical systems within the building and construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in project engineering and commissioning, contributing to the overall success of our projects and enhancing our reputation for quality and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical commissioning process for various building projects, ensuring strict compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, design teams, equipment suppliers and contractors to develop and implement project plans and schedules.
• Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of commissioning activities, including Inspection Test Reports (ITRs) and compliance records.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the commissioning phase.
• Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the commissioning process.
• Ensure that all work is completed within budget and on schedule, while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, with a primary focus on electrical commissioning.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations relevant to the building and construction industry.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools, such as Aphex, MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Professional Engineering registration or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Proven experience with Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) systems commissioning.
