The Role
We are seeking an experienced Non-Executive Governing Body Member to provide independent judgement, strategic insight and governance oversight to our growing healthcare organisation.
Working with the Chair, Governing Body and Executive Leadership Team, you will provide oversight across strategy, clinical governance, quality, risk, compliance, financial sustainability and organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic direction and long-term organisational sustainability.
- Provide independent oversight of organisational performance and effectiveness.
- Oversee quality, clinical governance, participant outcomes and consumer experience.
- Monitor organisational, clinical, financial, operational and regulatory risks.
- Review incidents, complaints, feedback, audit outcomes and improvement actions.
- Oversee compliance with relevant Aged Care, NDIS and regulatory requirements.
- Provide constructive challenge and support effective executive decision-making.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive and accountable organisational culture.
- Ensure participant rights, dignity, choice and wellbeing remain central to governance.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Experience as a Board Director, Non-Executive Director, Governing Body Member, senior executive or governance professional.
- Experience in aged care, NDIS, healthcare, community services or another regulated environment.
- Strong governance, risk, compliance and strategic oversight skills.
- An understanding of clinical governance and quality systems.
- Strong financial and organisational analysis skills.
- Sound judgement, integrity and ethical decision-making.
- Confidence to constructively challenge and influence at governance level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care, participant rights and inclusion.
