An exciting career opportunity exists for a Chef de Partie to join our team at the Peninsula Hot Springs in a Full Time position. The roles will be responsible for efficiently and effectively preparing and presenting menu items with variety and flair, while meeting the high standards of our guests, all under the direction and instruction of our Executive Chef.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items according to recipes and menus
- Strict management of stock rotation and control;
- Liaising with front of house team members regarding the availability of items, additions and relevant changes to the menu;
- Providing assistance with ordering of food items;
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area;
- Ensuring all equipment is appropriately maintained and cleaned;
- Accurately and timely completion of all tasks, as per service requirements.
- Manage the section during busy periods, ensuring that dishes are delivered quickly and efficiently
- Oversee the storage of food and ingredients
- Work closely with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and techniques
Qualifications:
- Cert IV in commercial cookery
- Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a qualified chef role
- Solid background in one of the following: bistro, restaurants or functions
