About the Role
Based in Glendenning, the Production Manager is responsible for leading the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the Production and Pre Press functions, ensuring production requirements are achieved to the required quality, delivery and performance standards.
This is a hands on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge and experience in digital label printing, with particular expertise in print embellishment and finishing processes including hot foil, cold foil, high-build/screen, embossing and die-cutting.
The Production Manager will oversee the end-to-end Pre Press and production workflow and lead the conversion of raw materials into finished goods. The role is responsible for coordinating people, equipment and production resources to maximise output, minimise downtime and ensure finished products consistently meet customer, quality and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the production planning and scheduling across digital print, embellishment and finishing operations in NSW.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of digital printing and premium embellishment processes, ensuring quality, efficiency and on-time delivery.
- Lead and develop the Production and Pre-Press teams, including capability building, performance management, training and succession planning.
- Manage colour consistency, pre-press workflows and complex multi-process jobs, ensuring production requirements are met from artwork through to finished product.
- Drive continuous improvement, process optimisation and innovation across production, with a focus on digital decoration and premium label finishing.
- Oversee quality, compliance and WHS requirements, ensuring standards and processes are consistently maintained.
- Act as a key point of contact for machinery, technical and production issues, coordinating maintenance, troubleshooting and new equipment implementation.
- Work closely with Sales and senior management to manage priorities, identify production risks and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage materials, consumables and tooling, ensuring production requirements are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
