Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for assisting the head chef and kitchen staff in preparing and cooking meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the head chef and kitchen staff in preparing and cooking meals
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Assist with food preparation and plating
• Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
