Legal Secretary – Fulltime

Parry Field Lawyers is a growing full-service law firm with offices in Christchurch, Auckland and Hokitika. With around 100 staff, we are focused on supporting our people to succeed in meaningful work while fostering a people-focused team culture.

Our practice areas include commercial, disputes, charity, for-purpose, immigration and property, as well as succession planning, trusts and estates.

About the Role 

We are looking for a highly capable and adaptable administrator to support our team.  This is a fast-paced role, assisting our busy and growing employment team (four legal staff).  While focusing on employment, you will collaborate with two existing Legal Secretaries supporting our family and employment teams. 

Duties combine diary management, client support, database management and billing assistance, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and taking ownership of their work. 

We envisage the role is full-time, but we are happy to discuss part-time hours with the right candidate.

About You

  • Experienced: Prior experience working as a PA/Legal Assistant in a law firm
  • People focused: Exceptional people skills
  • Highly adaptable: You’re comfortable working independently and enjoy taking ownership of your work, while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Organised & Proactive: You possess strong administrative skills, can confidently and proactively prioritise, and switch between multiple tasks. You remain calm under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy.
