Description

Build the organisation our people need.

This is not a transactional HR role.

Parkerville is looking for an experienced and progressive Executive Manager, People and Culture to lead the people pillar of our 2026–2029 Strategic Plan and help build the workforce, culture and organisational capability needed for our next chapter.

Our foundations are in place. Now we need a leader who can bring them to life.

You will help reshape People and Culture from a traditional centralised HR function into a contemporary, enabling and data-informed function that builds the capability of leaders across the organisation. You’ll also have executive responsibility across workforce strategy, organisational culture, industrial relations, workplace health and safety, wellbeing and workforce capability.

What you’ll lead

  • Delivery of Parkerville’s Our People: Expertise that Transforms strategic priority
  • Workforce and capability planning, succession, career pathways and talent pipelines
  • A contemporary, enabling People and Culture operating model
  • Employee value proposition and remuneration framework implementation
  • Wellbeing, psychological safety, cultural safety and DEI
  • Industrial relations, Awards, Agreements and union relationships
  • Strategic oversight of workplace health and safety
  • Workforce data, HR systems and evidence-informed decision-making
  • Leadership and development of the People and Culture team.

We’re looking for a builder

You’ll be an accomplished senior HR leader, but we’re looking for more than technical expertise.

You’re curious about people, data and better ways of working. You’re comfortable with complexity and ambiguity. You can enable autonomy without losing accountability, challenge an executive team while remaining a trusted adviser, and move confidently between strategic leadership and difficult operational issues.

You’ll bring tertiary qualifications in HR, Industrial Relations, Organisational Development or a related discipline, together with at least seven years’ senior HR leadership experience and strong capability across workforce strategy, organisational culture, change and industrial relations.

Experience in children, youth and family services, education or the not-for-profit sector is desirable, but not essential.

Why Parkerville?

Our purpose is to support children, young people and families to build capacity, address the impacts of trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and reach their fullest potential.

Mandatory requirements

The successful candidate will need to meet Parkerville’s mandatory compliance requirements, including a valid WA Driver’s Licence, Working with Children’s Card or willingness to apply, Department of Communities 395 Check, National Police Clearance, proof of Australian working rights and two references, one being a current or most recent manager.
