Are you a motivated young person looking to start a career in the automotive industry?

Caloundra GWM is looking for a Junior Trades Assistant to join our busy Service Department. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for someone who wants to learn, work hard and prove themselves, with the potential to progress into a Light Vehicle Mechanical Apprenticeship.

No previous workshop experience is required. We are looking for the right attitude, reliability and genuine interest in cars – we can help teach you the rest.

About the Role

Working alongside our qualified technicians and workshop team, you will gain practical exposure to how a professional dealership workshop operates.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting qualified technicians with workshop tasks
• Helping prepare vehicles and work areas for servicing and repairs
• Moving and parking vehicles around the dealership
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
• Cleaning workshop equipment, bays and common areas
• Assisting with basic vehicle checks and workshop duties under supervision
• Collecting and returning parts as required
• Learning correct workshop procedures, WHS requirements and dealership standards
• Supporting the workshop team wherever required

A current or progressing driver’s licence is mandatory.
