Description
First up, our commitment
At P&R, our goal is simple: we want this to be the best job you’ve ever had. That doesn’t mean it won’t be challenging, and it definitely doesn’t mean you won’t be stretched. It means we’ll back you, give you room to grow, and surround you with people who care about what they do, how they work, and the impact they make. We’re outcome-focused, which means flexibility matters and so does trust, accountability, and doing great work together.
Who’s P&R?
Pablo & Rusty’s is a Sydney based coffee roaster with a big purpose: to positively impact people and the planet through coffee. We’re proudly B Corp certified, carbon neutral certified, and members of 1% for the Planet. We work across cafes partners, private label, e-commerce, and a growing community of at-home coffee drinkers.
We source, roast, and brew exceptional coffees (including some of the world’s rarest) using quality equipment, strong QA practices, and a team-wide focus on consistency, care, and continuous improvement.
We’re forward thinking, data led, and always looking for better ways to work. Just as importantly, we protect and invest in a positive workplace culture where people can do meaningful work and keep growing.
If you’re a coffee professional who cares deeply about quality, people, and helping customers get the best out of their coffee, this could be a great fit.
About the role
As our Coffee Specialist, you’ll work closely with your delegated client zone and Business Specialist to support P&R cafe network clients at an operational level. You’ll help make sure they have the skills to dial in coffee to specific recipes, systems are running well, and our partners are set up to consistently serve great coffee. While ensuring menu innovation and technique for great customer and coffee experience.
This role is about enabling the highest standards of service, quality, and reputation for both our clients and P&R. You’ll provide practical, timely support and advice to cafe partners, helping baristas, managers, and cafe teams understand our products, improve their coffee systems, and get the most out of working with us.
You’ll bring strong specialty coffee knowledge, confidence with brewing and equipment, and a genuine drive to see customers succeed. You’ll also get involved in education and training, coffee tastings, events, installs, onboarding, marketing content, e-learning support, and R&D. We believe innovation needs space, so making time to test, learn, and improve is part of how we work.
You’ll also be comfortable working with digital systems and following P&R processes, whether that’s supporting online learning, keeping client information organised, or staying connected through the tools our teams use every day.
This is a great opportunity to help shape how P&R supports our partners. You’ll be working with talented, passionate people who care about coffee, customers, and doing things properly.
